Learn, Grow, Heal
In a prescription focus world, it's easy to lose sight of the fact that we can easily heal our body from inside out with natural ways. It's about learning how to. These workshops will teach you.
Knowledge is power! That's the first step in creating the health of your mind body soul.
Learning is how you can take the radical responsibility for your health. In each workshop, you will learn about the topic, tools to implement it in your life and ask questions.
Cost is intentionally kept low so more can access this information.
The topics for the workshops are carefully chosen so you can jumpstart your health goals for 2023.
You will get a zoom link once you register.
All Workshops are on Mondays, 7-8pm EST, Cost $CAD35 each
January 2nd: Get Crystal Clear on Your Intentions for 2023.
Our intentions matter! But what matters even more is our "why" behind our intentions. And even more - when our "why" serves more than just ourselves, the Universe supports you. So setting intentions for the new year is a process that will help you "see" what has been coming in the way. Our words, our thoughts, actions carry out our intentions knowingly or unknowingly.
In this workship, you will get clear on your intentions and how to live in alignement with them. We manifest only in alignment.
January 9th: Eat intelligently and save a trip to the Doctor
The understanding of Ayurvedic Nutrition is a powerful guide to navigate the ever changing and confusing world of food. Once you learn these principles, you can eat according to the seasons, the time of the day, your constitution and your imbalance with ease and confidence.
You will get a deeper understanding on how to use food to balance and to heal. When we eat this way, we don't need to visit the doctor's office for common ailments. Food becomes our medicine.
So many of our common ailments can be overcome by using your kitchen as your pharmacy rather than the drug store.
If eating healthy is on your list for 2023, then this workshop is a must.
January 16th: Weight Loss, Intermittent Fasting and Ayurveda
Weight loss is a billion-dollar industry and growing. In this workshop, I am going to simplify this complex global problem. It's made complex because of the times we are living in. Our ancestors didn't have this problem. Until we go to the root of this struggle, we will never overcome it. Intermitten fasting was built into the lifestyle.
You will learn how to reframe and rethink your struggle, the do's and don'ts of intermitten fasting and create a short term plan, experience success and repeat. You will also learn how to do an Ayurvedic Home Cleanse.
January 23rd: Daily Yoga and Meditation made easy
Yoga is a modality for mind-body connection and everybody can bring this powerful practice into their routine. Breathing consicously is part of a Yoga practice bridging the gap between mind and body. Yoga prepares us for meditation. Meditation is simply a practice to train the mind on whatever you choose, rather than the mind being in charge.
Supple body, increased circulation and flexibility, pain reduction and a stress reliever are just some of the benefit of Yoga.
You will learn simple alignemnt techniques and a powerful yoga practice that you can do at home with confidence. This practice will make any other physical exercises you do better and injury free.
January 30th: Heal Your Emotions to heal your body
Emotions are energy in motion. Our energy gets sick before our body does. If we want to heal the physical body, we must heal our emotionsl. Our current mental health epidemic is about mental/emotional health.
You will learn to tune into your feelings, pause instead of pushing them down, recognize when the mind is buffering what you feel, and learn a simple technique to heal the emotions.
There is not a single person I know who has not gone through an emotional rollercoaster for the last two years. Do yourself a favor, take this workshop to heal from all the wounds that have surfaced for all of us.
February 6th: Habits that stick
Our habits reinforce our beliefs. Our beliefs are formed from our past experiences. We can change our habits externally i.e. by trying to eat healthy, exercising and going to sleep on time etc. until we hit a plato and we return to the same old. The war between the "knowing" and the "Doing" begins. Don't take this war into 2023.
You will learn in the workship 1. Why do we fall off the wagon even when we know better 2. The cause in #1 is most likely in other areas of your life as well. 3. How to create habits that stick
This will help you bring new knowledge, new energy and momentum in 2023.

Wonderful accomodation and food. Felt very comfortable and taken care of. The sound healing experience was healing and rejuvenating. The host were very loving.
Retreat is a way to detach from your day to day life. By going to another location and be together with others creates space and time to be open to receive new information, to learn and experience new concepts, new ways to grow and heal. Being in a group setting is perfect to learn from other’s experiences and the collective energy is invigorating. A chance to reset and recalibrate. Also enjoyed the down time alone and time to participate in the outdoor hikes.
There were so many aha moments and revelations during the retreat. Meena’s teachings are deep and I benefit greatly from her insight. Thank you Meena

The facility is very well designed and conducive for such retreats. Beautiful view all around and very comfortable. Food was healthy, creative and full of Spirit (energy)
Meena’s work is so important and more people need to learn the teachings. I was able to use my previous practices and experiences to combine in the retreat teachings and connect more from my heart to the world around me.
The retreat reinforced my belief in opening our heart to the abundance of blessings that every person is gifted with.

The retreat was a beautiful experience. Being in a space that allows silence from the outer world and then allows me to experience the silence in my inner world. The importance of actually creating time and space for doing the inner work can’t be overemphasized. Being away from the day to day of my life and being in the environment of retreat and in nature and being with others on the same path and same intention to heal, and having a teacher like Meena Puri who is passionate about supporting others to heal and evolve – all of this contributed to my learning and healing during the 3 days.
The retreat center is beautiful and peaceful. The meals are out of this world. I am grateful for this experience and for taking the time to be here. Thank you Meena. This experience made me committed to attend future retreats and to continue to do my inner work, self love and heal.

Hi Meena, I thought of you lately. It’s been years since I have been in your Yoga classes and my practice has continued. I have had quite a few teachers and classes since then and whenever a teacher’s voice does not click with me, I replace it with your voice. It’s a gift you gave me. Thanks.
Judith
The Soul Journeys were so deep, it brought up everything I had tucked away for so long and it had impacted my entire life. I finally see and am waking up. It’s so difficult but your soothing and loving voice is reassuring and softening me. Thank you.

This is from my daughter in law and wanted to share them with you. “I love these Ayurvedic Healing Center Meditations so much. Thank you for buying me the 21 days of healing. I still listen to it a lot”

I’ve just completed reading Meena Puri’s latest book. There is so much wisdom to absorb from the book; at the moment, I am letting it sink in slowly. There is so much to grasp. Meena’s truth has shaken up my energy and given me the push to continue and move forward on my journey of understanding my purpose in life.
I read on Kindle and I use their highlighting tool. There is so much to read and re-read and I am highlighting so many passages. I’ve included some of my favorite gems at the end of this review. I could write stories and anecdotes about how each one has shown up in my life, but instead I’ve chosen just one in order to share a personal moment that I experienced with my mother. Meena wrote:
“The inner work is about healing our past traumas and wounds, expanding the love, so we can radiate it ‘out there'”.
My mother and I always had a strained (but loving) relationship. She was a Holocaust survivor with many hidden secrets. She tried to spare me the atrocities she had experienced but the secrets allowed a wall between us. The wall both shielded me and caused me to feel resentful. One thing my mother would do that irked me was that she used to say, “Am I right?” all the time and it infuriated me, because, of course, she was right most of the time, which I mistakenly took to mean, that I was wrong. And this reinforced the wall between us.
When I was older and a mother of 3, she came to visit me in Israel. I decided that this time I would not let her get under my skin. I would revel in her being right. I had realized that the role models she had had in her teens were Nazis who NEVER said anything positive to her. And that was the reason she wanted/needed to be appreciated – needed to be right. Therefore, I decided to take on the role of giving her positive reinforcement
I planned a wonderful day of touring in Israel. I said, “Let’s go here.” And she would counter, “Why not go there.” And instead of bickering, I said, “What a fantastic idea!” She was taken aback. Immediately she said, “No, let’s go on your plan.” I said, “Yours is better.” and I said it without malice, without feeling like she was one-upping me. I could see her hesitation and I watched her protective, phony-confidence deflate AND her authentic confidence develop. This went on all day long and after each stop, I commented on what a great idea she had had and what a wonderful day we all were having. She was glowing by the end of the day. “The inner work is about healing our past traumas and wounds, expanding the love, so we can radiate it ‘out there'” These traumas remain until they are given the attention they need. Thank you Meena for sharing your truth in your book.
As promised, here are some more of the wisdoms you will find in this important book:
“Healing doesn’t ask whether you have been in pain for 25 minutes or 25 years. It is always available in the NOW moment. Consider two rocks that have been submerged underwater in a stream bed; one has been submerged for 10,000 years and the other for ten days. If you place both rocks in the sun, they will take the same amount of time to dry off.
The truth is nothing outside of us needs to change for us to be who we are designed to be, to heal, to become whole, to follow our heart, and to fulfill our purpose.
In that bigger context, you will see that whatever is happening to you is happening for you.
It’s our ego that thinks I have to accomplish something massive in order to be noticed. At the heart level, we are not concerned with being noticed; rather, we notice and truly see others. At this level, kindness and love are not measured. No heart action is big or small; it carries the same high energy that our world needs.”

I highly recommend Meena’s Individual Program. I joined in the hopes to address my anxiety and depression. Western therapy didn’t connect with me yet Meena’s approach was just the right thing. She is calm, knowledgable and wise. Meena gently guides to deeper and calmer understanding of mental health issues and life in general. I feel great and have the necessary tools to taken on further life challenges.

I am 67 years old and having been dealing with chronic low back pain for the last 10 years. I worked with pain clinic and physical therapy for 2 years. It was beneficial but I was not getting the results I had hoped for. Before working with Meena Puri, on a average week, my pain level was 6 or higher on a scale of 1-10. Rarely my pain went down to below 5. I was very discouraged and felt depressed.
I had seen a documentary on healing and I knew that there is a connection between mind and body. I explainged this to the pain clinic and the pyschologist but to no avail.
In working with Meena Puri, I have had the best improvement in all the years I have been struggling with back pain. My pain level is now mostly around 3. I have learned how to breathe, calm my mind and most importantly how to breathe into my body as I move it. Before I would do all the exercises in a mechanical way, just like to task that I had to get done; now I feel my body, my breath and it feels so much more better and enjoyable.
I am a spiritual person and believe that all is ONE. I am continuing my work with Meena to go deep into the Spirituality and heal myself even more.
Deepika
I highly recommend Meena’s audio course on Changing One Belief, Healing One Relationship! Like all her work, it’s deep, insightful, and thought provoking. She explains how beliefs are formed, and then teaches tools and techniques to transcend self limiting thoughts and beliefs that often keep us stuck in old patterns. I highly recommend this course to anyone who has a self limiting belief or looking for a primer to get introduced to Meena’s work. You won’t be disappointed!!

Hello Meena, I just wanted to reach out to you to say thank you so much for sharing your wisdom. I’ve just finished listening to your latest podcast on diagnosis/labels and I just feel so full of gratitude and wholeness right now. I am currently working with Myra Lewin but in the future for whatever reason if our paths crossed I would feel privileged to work with you. You talked about the Inner Critic and Critical Parent and I am just learning about this at the moment and using Lucia Capacchione’s book Recovery of your Inner Child. Please continue to share your wisdom, it is bringing much needed healing, love and light to the world. I am going to try your meditations soon. Thank you from my heart. Much love from England.

Good morning Meena,
I greatly enjoyed your book as a gift given to me by Sebastian. I have been teaching “Plants and Human Health” and “Practical Botany” since 2010. I myself grew up in a family with deep roots in plant-related professions. My paternal side was a nursery-owner and my maternal side was a land-owner before the Communist Revolution in China. When I grew up, I was always in an environment filled with plants, especially in a nursery where my grand-parents used to own and later worked. I studied horticulture and my wife studied botany in college, and later in grad school we both studied botany and my wife specialized in medicinal plant taxonomy and identification. She even tried to start a herb company in Ann Arbor about ten years ago, but it did not work out. My research is in plant phylogenetics and evolution. When student enrollment in my plant evolution class dropped to a point that the course git cancelled, as a part of the trend of lack of interest by students in pure science related courses (out of job and career trend shift in this country), I thought hard on what to teach to continue my pursuit of botany teaching interest. Plants for human health and happiness was the topic that I thought students would always be interested. I have been proven correct since both courses now are in full capacity and I even need to increase the upper limit for Practical Botany, a non-major course. In any case, when there is a chance, I would like to meet you, since Ayurveda is something I have only been exposed to very recently and it seems that it will have a great appeal to our society, and I would like to learn more about it. I may recommend your book as one of the books to my students, since they often ask me what to read.
I wish you great luck in your continued pursuit to popularize this great art of living!
Gregory Peterson
This class presented innovative insights into awareness including understanding personal trauma, developing acceptance as a mindset and an introduction to fifth dimension behaviors. Meena’s ability to answer tough and challenging questions from attendees with thought provoking insights was impressive. I am very technical, a mechanical engineer, and regularly asked Meena questions related to the relationship of the numerous spiritual concepts she presented to physical verification. Her responses always made sense and showed a depth of understanding that went beyond the very thorough and comprehensive slides used as the primary course instruction. This class may not be for everyone but, for people with an open mind, it will be thought provoking and a guide for living a more insightful and enlightened life.

Listened to the intro and 1st meditation today. I do love your teachings Meena and look forward to the next 20 days and beyond. Your recent podcast on forgiveness was so rich. Thank you!
I am enjoying the 21 day meditations fully. Thank you. Today was day 9 and I was so moved by the resistance I couldn’t sit still. Will repeat tomorrow. Growing and transforming and thank you!

I have now worked with Meena Puri for several years. I will say my fear and depression are presently no longer an issue in my life. The physical benefits are quite obvious also. Spiritually, I feel connected to my God and fellow life here. I’ve learned to love myself and be thankful for people and things in life. This has been a process and not an event. The changes are very subtle. Meena is a wonderful teacher and human being. She is very skilled at pushing her students to the point that they bend but do not break: physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

I experienced my first Kundalini yoga class at The Yoga School of Milford and felt its transformational effects instantly after class. I walked in feeling sleepy and weak, and walked out feeling mighty and ready to conquer the day. Kundalini yoga really revived my energy and now I can’t wait to make a regular habit of it. The Yoga School of Milford is a small studio that is attached to the owner Meena’s home, but it’s a very professional and inviting space and Meena has everything you need onsite for your practice. If you are looking for an authentic yoga experience and have grown tired of yoga classes that feel commercialized, this is the place for you.

Meena has the true knowledge of Yoga which is why I have been with her for 10 Glorious Years! She embraces you with the individual attention you need on the physical body ailments and mental well-being, Thank you Meena for changing and enriching my life style changes into the peace and happiness of self discovery.

I started doing yoga with Meena because I was having back pain. I’d had lower back pain for many years, but it was getting pretty intense, and I was a runner. I went to a chiropractor for almost a year, and tried sever other alternative homeopathic remedies, with no real improvement. I finally went to a neurosurgeon, who wanted to sign me up for surgery right away. I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and herniated disc, and he wanted to put a metal caging system in my back. I opted out of that. I quit running, altered my exercise routine, and fit in yoga. Eventually, I realized the more yoga I did the better I felt. That was about four years ago, and now I do yoga at least three time a week. Yoga is the one and only thing that has worked for me. Yoga has done so much more for me than the physical aspect I was looking for. I am much more peaceful and a better person than I was before yoga. I have learned so much about myself. I absolutely love it, and recommend it to everyone.

There just aren’t enough good things to say about Meena and her studio. About six years ago I began in a Yoga Therapy class. I had been suffering from chronic back pain and had no improvement with physical therapy. On the suggestion of my General Practitioner I found such a class right here in Milford. The individual attention was so far and above my expectation. My abilities were assessed and she got me moving again. Over time I was able to move on to mixed level classes as well as core strength and cardio. I look forward to class not just because of what I am going to get out of it physically; through breathing and mediation I get to take a break from the hectic day to day and leave the studio energized and ready to take on the day.

Meena teaches basic Hatha Yoga Techniques including a mixture of strength and stretching poses. The main difference between Meena and other Yoga instructors that I have had is that she teaches what I consider the true Yoga. She teaches her students to go inside of themselves and face the tight hardened areas in the body and breathe into them to feel all they can. She encourages us to do this while staying with the breath and staying in the present moment. Yoga is no longer an intellectual exercise of cosntantly thinking about where to position your hand of foot ( as i experienced in many Iyengar classes) but becomes a multi-dimensional state of being. At times, when I am doing Yoga this way, I feel a deep heat or shaking in my body and the reward of staying with it just a few seconds longer is release of tension and new strength. Also, Meena always provides inspirational thoughts in a quiet manner that my being seems to soak up while we are doing Yoga. I have had amazing release of heat from my palms, forrehead and crown of the head when in Shavasna. I’ve also completely traveled away in this pose to the point where I wasn’t sure where I was. I sleep much deeper after my yoga practice with Meena as well.

Meena is able to almost magically adapt her instruction to fit all of the unique needs and abilities of each student in class while still maintaining a cohesive feel to the class

I was always afraid of yoga, thinking that my physical limitations made it impossible. Meena helped me see that anyone can do yoga. She does not push you, but instead guides you to your own personal limits. She has made me feel comfortable and able, and I am forever grateful. I can hardly wait for the Doctor to give me the OK to return to class!!

Love Meena & all of her wisdom & insight! She has helped me recover from multiple injuries. Highly Recommended ❤️

A few years ago, I went to Boulder, Colorado for a 3 day Yoga seminar sponsored by the Yoga Journal magazine. The top yoga instructors in the US were teaching and BKS Iyengar was also there. I kept thinking about how much I preferred Meena’s style of teaching over all the teaching styles at this seminar. And the reason for this is because Meena instructs from the space of being in the “Now” and this is the only space that true Yoga can come from. I am a 56 year old woman and I started doing Yoga in my early 20’s. I have had many yoga instructors but Meena is the best instructor I’ve ever had.
Jason Hegedos
Meena is a great instructor. The class I have with her now focuses on individuals who spend many hours at a desk. Even when I start the class with a sore back, I am pushed to stretch it out and ultimately strengthen it. I was rather leery at first, but am very glad I signed up!
Linda Gepper
Dear Meena, Your magic just continues! I injured my shoulder a year ago. I’ve been able to bring it back about 85-90 %, but not pain free. Well, after the shoulder work yesterday I am now 100%! Swam 20 laps today without even a twinge. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Susan L.
I was diagnosed with IBC (Inflammatory Breast Cancer). Chemo left me with cognitive issues and out of balance. I have been taking Meena’s special needs class for 4 months. I have noticed a big difference in my ability to balance, I do not stutter as much I did before, it has been so beneficial for my mind and body that I have now my daughter in law and my friend join the classes. I love it and will do it for the rest of my life.

The meditation weekend retreat is quite worthwhile. Although it’s hard to carve a full weekend out of your busy life, your meditation practice is so fortified, that it keeps giving back, every day of your life. Not only do you have to stop buzzing around with daily activities, your time at the retreat is of such high quality, it’s like gaining time. I leave feeling richer, smarter and a little more evolved. This is my fourth year attending the retreat and every year, more doors open to me, and I love the opportunities they supply. And, most people think (myself included, in my first year) that time is going to drag on, and how can you possibly meditate so much. But, time absolutely flies by and it is not all meditation. Most time we meditate for at a time is 30 min. There is discussion, Yoga and sharing of your experiences. It is difficult to describe, but it truly is enriching.
Lisa H.
Attending the retreat was a great reminder of the importance of prioritizing meditation and connecting with my heart. I loved the fact that we had groups from across the country on the retreat as well, really felt the collative energy as well. We have installed so many of your suggestions in our lives. I loved the chapatis and chai at the retreat – a good reminder of your book.
Mary S.
I realized that rest is very important mentally, physically and emotionally. I re-committed to trying to get more rest in my day to day life, better sleep. I recommitted to putting more meditation into my life…I think it can be very restorative and calming
I think meditation can promote positive change in terms of self control, self love, self care and one success builds on the next success and so on and so on. I fell more calm and peaceful. I felt less reactive. The group itself (both in the room and remotely) also inspired me to continue practicing meditation.
Just “doing” the meditation, having a scheduled time that I join a group, forced me to commit to the intention. Left to my own devices I do find it challenging to keep up a practice, but I am trying. I’ve meditated 3 x in the last week after attending the retreat.
Loved the cauliflower and sautéed onion dish, the naan, the soup, all of it. But the cauliflower dish and the naan was my favorite. The food is another goal, its another example of healthy living and healthy eating.

I so enjoyed the winter 2020 retreat. It was nourishing, challenging, enlightening, and heartfelt. Thank you for tending each of us and for tending the process. I got much needed rest and new appreciation for a rested nervous system. I appreciated the instruction and explanations from not only my teacher, Meena, but from her teacher as well.
I was inspired to continue to develop my practice. The support of teachers and community is inspiring. I was inspired by the presence of love and humor. There is such amplification and encouragement when practicing with a group!
Meena is nourishing literally and figuratively! The aromas, the flavors, her attentiveness to each person at her table — all are fuel for the body and soul. She created dishes from the pantry of her heart and soul. Some of her recipes can be found in her cookbook (that is actually an “eating for life” book). Eating with Meena is truly fulfilling.
Chuck H
I realized the importance of deep rest and relaxation. I have been more diligent about resting after my meditation. Paul Dugliss is a great teacher and being with others was important as I learned so much from them. The bonus was experiencing and enjoying food from Meena’s kitchen.
Jackie B.
At the beginning of the weekend, my mind and spirit was full of all the troubles around me and I felt sick. Now, at the end of the retreat, I feel full, content and at peace. I feel strongly grounded and ready to live my life.
Denise H.
A wonderful experience to spend a weekend with like minded students learning and sharing. The weekend meditation allows me to fully immerse and have a deeper experience. It provides a wonderful opportunity to recharge and refocus on the meditation practice. Meena, as always, combines the learning with her wonderful insights.
Manasa Nadig
That was an amazing webinar Meena. Thank you so much. I have been reading a lot of Brene Brown books and what you said about owning your story and sitting with your fear/anxiety resonated. It’s a journey to get to where we can acknowledge our anxiety before we can accept it. Will practice your meditation technique with my 23 year old. Look forward to more sessions.
Srividhya
Great Webinar session last night, it was interesting to note how you equated fear/anxiety to energy which can not be destroyed but only transformed.
Mary Schimmel
The webinar was wonderful. I knew this would be helpful, It has given me a reminder of what I can work on to help with challenges from the external world.
Sunitha Nagana
The webinar was very informative and wonderful meditation. Thank you.
Renee C.
Perfect for these times and much needed. I have never been able to breathe before, this taught me how to breathe.
Cynthia H.
This has been very helpful, just the breathing in the first two modules helps me tremendously and I go to it over and over again.
Angela D.
Each time I listen to these meditations, I calm right down and feel better for hours and days. Thank you so much for doing this.

I just attended the first step in her Simple Steps program and I am so glad I did. The seminar was excellent! Everything she said was right to the point and hit the core of the issues. The program was very interactive and all the participants were engaged in the learning. Once more, I gained a deeper understanding. Another useful aspect of the program is the built-in support system. Meena encouraged all the participants to “buddy up”, which really opened more possibilities for everyone. I felt a deep sense of connection with everyone who attended. I believe if you attend this program, listen, learn and do the necessary work, your life will improve significantly. I can’t imagine anyone walking away with less than that.
Susan
Meena- thank you again for such a wonderful event! You are such a gifted teacher and healer, and have been a powerful force for the positive in my life….at a time when things have been rather bleak. Anyone, no matter what their circumstances, can benefit from your wisdom and guidance, and from the positive outcomes of Yoga and meditation. Thank you again for generously sharing your gifts with us!

I am drawn to Ayurveda for its natural approach to nutrition, relationships and overall well-being. This program has helped me handle daily tasks in a more relaxed and peaceful manner.
Andrea Fiondo
Meena has way of integrating her vast knowledge of Ayurveda, Kundalini yoga, holistic health involving the subtle body, and safe, effective psychological practices to allow one to gain insight into ones own nature and path. Her sensitivity to the personality and to the infinite nature of her students and clients is evident in the changes they sustain after sessions with her. I would recommend yoga therapy, healing sessions, and her deeper small group workshops to everyone who desires an answer to life’s confrontations. I am deeply grateful to her for her teaching discipline. But above all of this, Meena is led by her heart and third eye. Her compassion for others and her self-love and respect are key components in her abilities. She is a rare find, a treasure in Michigan”.

As a yoga teacher I have enjoyed this advanced training because we are not focused on yoga postures and poses. I will not learn how to stand on my head in this program, and I am completely okay with that! Instead we are discussing the other seven limbs of yoga and how Ayurveda and yoga beautifully compliment one another. Because of the nature of information in this program, it is open and accessible to more than just yoga teachers. It is valuable for any health practitioner or any person who is called to look deeper into health, healing, and self-awareness. During the short time I have been this program, I am more conscious about viewing myself and the world around me through a lens of compassion.
Ann Rossman
I truly recommend this advanced training program for all. Meena is a skilled teacher whose explanations are insightful and thought provoking. The program is not rigid. If you have a question or an interest in taking the program in a different direction, Meena will revise and meet you at your interests. It is wonderful to be in the company of a teacher who is completely focused on making the experience personal and meaningful for her students. It has been a pleasure to be a student of Meena and a student of my own consciousness. Namaste.

I highly recommend the advanced yoga and Ayurveda training with Meena. I have spent more time self-reflecting over the first three months of the program than I have in probably the last ten years. You see for the last ten years I have been busy with career and family. It has been easy to commit to meeting one Saturday a month, making this program great for even the busiest of people.

Dearest Meena: I first contacted you almost one year ago regarding RA, sadness & poor health. One of my issues was osteoporosis & a scary dexascan. I feared my bones were disintegrating. So I stuck with your nutritional & emotional advice and just received results of follow up dexascan. I have significant increase in bone density in most areas measured and NO increase in osteoporosis measured at all!
In addition to your prescribed herbs/food and open hearted & compassionate mindful practices, I have committed to a yoga practice that focuses on scoliosis. My height has NOT decreased👍 And I have not experienced any falls. Couldn’t wait to share with you and share my gratitude🙏
Ryan Storzbach
Good evening Meena. You may or may not remember me and that’s OK. I wanted to reach out however and say thank you.
In the spring of 2018 my wife and I visited you. At the time, we were very curious to learn about Ayurvedic medicine and were excited to find a local practitioner. To make a long story short, you and I discussed many things, one of which was my drinking. I would have 1-2 beers every night, and anywhere from 4-6+ on weekend nights. I thought this was normal, since basically everyone in my social circle adheres to this behavior.
You looked me right in the eye and said, “well, that’s just alcoholism”. At the time, I sort of scoffed and brushed off your advice to reduce my drinking; I didn’t want to hear that it was a problem. It took me almost a year, but your words kept coming back to me: “well, that’s just alcoholism”. This past March 1st, I quit drinking 100%. Zip, zero ,zilch. I’ve lost 25 pounds and now have an unlimited membership at Citizen Yoga and attend class several times per week.
I’ve never felt better. And it really all started because you were the first person to tell me the truth about the amount I was drinking, so for that I would like to say a very heartfelt and grateful thank you!

The teachings Meena shares are mind-blowing — in a good way. The teachings invite an opening of the mind, which leads to an opening of the heart, which is where healing can happen. I’m beginning to notice and more clearly see old patterns that reflect my fears. While a little aggravating, this way of seeing and sensing spark my curiosity and hope for eventually transforming that fear-based energy.

Meena, is very intelligent and genuinely wanted to help me. I felt comfortable with her and her office setting and didn’t feel like a number. She gave me a real alternative to (ineffective) prescription drugs for me and my situation. Actually, she gave me a whole action plan of alternatives and it is working much better than drugs.
Claire
Meena is one of the most effective teachers I’ve known. She teaches with clarity, integrity, warmth and humor. Being in her presence is to be seen, accepted, gently challenged and encouraged. I’m becoming more aware that my habit is to use thoughts to change my feelings — who knew I can use my heart’s connection to the vast healing energy to transform and heal my troublesome feelings? Meena knows, and she generously and enthusiastically imparts the teachings. I’m so grateful!

Meena Puri is the real deal in Ayurveda and self care. I have a hard time grasping the concepts in Ayurveda but I trust Meena so I do not question her advice. She is caring, knowledgeable and soft spoken. I have learned how to meditate from her and practice Kundalini Yoga. Her vegetarian cooking is delicious. Try one of her Panchkarma therapies for a total relaxing experience. Invest in yourself with Meena. You will not be disappointed!

Meena is an amazing woman and doctor! She is knowledgeable and gentle and does an amazing job of helping you find things that will either maintain your balance or help to correct your imbalances. I recommend going to see her as soon as you can as Ayurvedic medicine is one for prevention, It is far easier to STAY healthy then it is to GET healthy. I just finished a cleanse with her and I feel brighter and more ready for whatever comes my way. She tailors it to your needs and adjusts the different therapies to work to heal you more. I recommend this PK therapy (Panchakarma) to any one of any age.

As a student of Meena’s for over a decade my life has been enriched by her teachings of yoga. The Yoga School of Milford is more than just the physical practice of yoga. It is also engages the mind and the spirit through the practice of the breath and meditation. Meena has also worked with me on dietary issues and stress management through her Ayurvedic Healing Center. At the center we work one on one to recognize blocks and develop strategies that works for me to create a healthier environment and a healthier me. I am very grateful for the many teachings of Meena’s.?

Playing in the N. H.L. for almost 8 years, took a toll on my body and resulted in many injuries and surgeries that ended my playing career. I became very stiff and had to endure a lot of pain and functioning on a daily basis became a challenge. I had a hard time skating and had to give up hockey and other sports that I loved to play. Simple things like getting in and out of the car, bending down, getting out of bed and just using my body to live became very difficult. Along with that, I had chronic congestion that also affected the quality of my sleep. Telling my story to countless doctors and therapists left me frustrated as no one really listened or did anything of value to really help me besides prescribing more pain medication.
Meena Puri was the first person who not only understood my physical problems but provided me with concrete steps and solutions to address those issues. That was a welcome relief and gave me confidence that I could get better. Now after working with Ms. Puri for over a year and making lifestyle changes including nutrition, here are my results:
I am skating again and have been coaching hockey this summer.
My congestion is gone. I sleep soundly and through the night.
I have stopped taking all pain medication. No more side effects.
My posture and body alignment is much improved.
I feel more fluid and confident in my body and its ability to heal.
Overall weight and body fat is reduced.
Most importantly, this is only the beginning. I plan on getting better and better and restoring the quality of my life. Working with Ms. Puri and following her guidelines has been the key to my improvement and I am forever grateful.

Meena’s knowledge and wisdom of healing is vast and I have experienced great improvements in my health thanks to her guidance and recommendations. What I love about Ayurveda and Meena’s teachings is that you are involving all senses in your healing process. From food to self-care, herbal supplements, meditation, and more, you will enjoy the process of becoming healthier because the new habits you cultivate will please your senses and bring more pleasure to your daily routine.

I began seeing Meena in the spring of 2018 after having digestive issues. My doctor was unable to pinpoint the source of the problem but Meena asked questions regarding my diet and eating habits and attitudes about food. She then suggested a plant based diet and helped me to develop a new lifestyle that focused on awareness. This comprehensive plan alleviated my symptoms very quickly. I would highly recommend the Ayurvedic approach and Meena for her knowledge, guidance and wisdom. She has been a blessing on my path to emotional, spiritual and physical healing.

I have been Meena’s student for a very long time; over 15 years. Over the years, apart from consistently attending her Yoga classes, I have attended almost every workshop and program that she has offered. Every time I hear her talk or teach, I continue to digest the teachings at a deeper level. I have also taken workshops with other teachers, but Meena brings it all together in a way that no other teacher has for me. As a result, I have a great sense of self and self-esteem and I continue to experience an increased sense of awareness, which has had a tremendous affect on all areas of my life, helping me live a meaningful, healthier and happier life. I am able to separate myself from my problems and get a different perspective and look at the bigger picture. me the peace of mind, inner hope and self assurance that I got from Meena. Since childhood I have been living within a vortex of old beliefs that would recycle over and over, always leaving me insecure and unsure. In one session with Meena not only did she figure out what has been holding me captive all these years but she enabled me to free myself and I walked away with an inner peace and happiness, an assuredness that no matter what happens in life “I” can handle it, and a real understanding of who I am. I have awakened every day since feeling joy, excitement for the new day and real sense that I am all I need to make it through whatever life throws at me and that I will continue to thrive as this person I lost a long time ago. I still have lots of work to do to clear out the many layers of baggage I have built up, but I am finally ALIVE! As they say, if you continue to do as you’ve always done, you will continue to get what you’ve always gotten… That’s what I got with the so-called professionals. I needed something different, something more… and that is what Meena is guiding me to achieve. Meena is the change we could probably all use.

Meena was a life saver – literally! I visited her office because I was feeling intense anxiety that made my heart feel like it was beating laboriously. She put one hand on my upper back and one hand on my upper chest and listened intently. She then told me there was a mechanical issue with my heart and that I needed to see a cardiologist immediately. She was absolutely right. A couple days later I had emergency open heart surgery for a ruptured valve. I consider Meena one of the angels who saved my life. She is a kind, caring soul who takes the time to really get to know and understand her patients unique health situation and goals. He wisdom runs deep and her knowledge of all aspects of body, mind and spirit is vast. I consider myself fortunate to have such a gifted practitioner of Ayurveda and Yoga in my life. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking optimal health.

Meena Puri is a one-stop shop. I started seeing Meena for fatigue, allergies, and digestion issues and within a week of making slight changes to my diet, supplements, and routine I felt lighter in my body, congestion ceased, and I had more energy. Meena gave me easy guides to restart my meditation routine and with her gentle, yet earnest guidance, I began worrying less and feeling more grounded and centered with a clearer mind. Meena provides deep knowledge of the body, insight into calming the mind, and sage advice regarding connecting to what really matters in life – living from your center. I recommend Meena Puri for practical advisement and guidance on holistic healing in our daily lives.

Meena Puri is an amazing healer and spiritual guide. She is attentive, caring, and proactive. I am very blessed to have found such a genuine, skilled practitioner to help me care for my body temple on this journey. Furthermore, her assessments of disease and ailments are never separate from the heart and spirit, which is the missing link with many medical practitioners. To anyone who is searching for an excellent Ayurvedic specialist, I wholeheartedly recommend Meena Puri.

Meena was very welcoming and knowledgeable. I felt at ease and appreciated her expertise. The center is lovely. Full of light and comfortable. I will be back many times to work with Meena.

There’s no substitute for the best! I have experienced several other yoga teachers, but Meena is by far the best I have encountered and I keep coming back! I have been practicing with Meena on and off for ~6 years and have made it a priority to grow my practice under her advisement for the past few years. Her yoga instruction has not only strengthened my body, but through her gentle guidance has also nourished my soul. When my life got tough she taught me to Meditate which has improved my mental health and well being. She introduced me to Kundalini which also has many benefits for the body and brain. I honestly can’t say enough good things about her teachings – hard to put into words, but once you experience it, you realize how good it is and how much you needed it! Her teachings have saved me many times over through prevention of physical and mental illnesses – can’t put a price on that! Much Love!

There are pivotal moments in life, which can change your direction. I had one of those moments when I met Meena. I had been through a number of physical trials that resulted in my relationships taking a turn for the worse. I started yoga and then Aryuveda with Meena. As I worked with her, I discovered things about myself that I had never known before. That awareness has transformed my relationships and allowed me to grow in ways that I didn’t think were possible. Her gentle guidance helped me to understand where I was coming from and how to deal with the issues. The breathing and meditation techniques have also helped me to deal effectively with stress. The dietary changes have helped me live a healthier lifestyle. I can’t say enough about what she has done for me.

Meena is a true holistic practitioner. She considers all factors that impact health.

Meena is a well seasoned professional and is passionate about her skills and knowledge, she truly works with each client to make sure they are meeting their goals, as well as making sure they are aware of their potential and helping create wonderful outcomes.

A while back, Meena taught an Ayurvedic cooking class that I attended. She was patient and kind – and her creations were wonderful. I especially love her tea. She is a masterful yoga instructor as well. It’s so wonderful that I came to know Meena – when she happened to substitute as teacher in a yoga class I was taking in Wixom!
Kathy Amerman, Carls Family Y Board of Directors
We had the great pleasure at the Carls Family YMCA of welcoming Meena Puri to speak at our ‘Take Back Thursday’ Healthy Living forum on two occasions. Last spring an enthusiastic group learned how important food is to your mental and physical health and how different foods interact to create common health issues. This fall we learned the importance of drilling down to discover why some of your unhealthy habits can overwhelm you and how to break the cycle. Meena is a passionate and enthusiastic speaker who clearly cares about the health and well being of her community.

If everyone could only just begin this type of work, the world would be unbelievable. It gives you a peek at the potential. I think, that is hope.

I have realized that I have some deeply buried self confidence issues, stemming from lack of self worth. I realize this with my mind. But, to realize it with my heart, and really feel it, is a whole new experience. And to bring that into my heart and love it, just diminishes it. Super cool.
Claire
Dropping into the heart allows for dropping pretenses and allowing for authenticity. Thank goodness. I’ve been so tired of living a protectionist life.

Meena teaches from the heart in this series. She understands you even when you don’t quite understand yourself. Then she guides you until you understand. If you really want to know what is in your heart do this work.

Listening to you, Meena, is always helpful as you guide us to deepen awareness and consciousness. It was nice to be in a setting with other women since it centers us in our strengths and fragilities and make it okay.

I participated in Meena’s “Igniting Change – Finding Your Fire” program and I loved it. Meena’s wisdom and insight are just what I needed amidst this COVID winter. The program helped me gain a balanced perspective and started off my year in the right direction.

I think the biggest thing that is resonating with me is the power of the group discussion….it revealed that we all have our own individual challenges, but also revealed insights and possibilities of what could be available to all of us….not linear, not exact, but the possibility of more.

I always learn something about myself when I take one of your classes, Meena. I was apprehensive about the breakout sessions, I was worried I really would not have anything to contribute, however, during the session I became aware of what I was needing for myself! Granting Myself Permission! I am always waiting for permission from others, always trying to be available for others, looking for approval before moving forward. Now that I see this in myself, I am taking steps to makes changes for me and add some creativity in my life. Working with Charlotte reminded us if something doesn’t work out, “So What” we can start again and not to take ourselves too seriously. I need to remember that too.

I can get into my head with the best of them. It’s when I began to drop my mind into my heart that the healing began.”Immense gratitude to Meena for her wisdom, guidance and humor to show me the way.
Meena’s teachings are “simple” yet far from easy. The work of dropping into our hearts and soothing the inner darkness that causes our own and universal suffering takes diligence, dedication and faith. The payoff? My heart is opening, I’m letting go and stepping into my true self, and healing is happening. Thank you Meena!

Stepping out of the situation and into love has been a huge transformation in my life! Trust the process and embrace ALL emotions that come with it during this course. At times during the sessions I thought, well where is this going or what is this emotion about….but through the 4 two hour class each week and the self work I did during the week, I came full circle and had that AHA moment where it all came together and the light bulb came on!
I cannot recommend this course enough….I was very skeptical going in but continued with the lessons and came out with a huge awakening and understanding of myself! Thank you, Meena!!

I met Meena in 2019 at a networking event in Milford. She was promoting her book. At the time I was having serious digestive issues and losing a large amount of weight. She and I struck up a conversation which lead to an appointment at her Milford office. I had not been familiar with ayurvedic medicine. I found her very calming and and informative as she began explaining what she practices. I had depleted my body to the point that I was losing muscle mass. She performed a special massage with an ayurvedic oil formulated for my body type. The experience was truly amazing. Meena uses meditation as a means to control stress. We meditate together during our appointments. She advises me on healthy cooking and recipes for my body type. Over the last few months I have been going through the most stressful period of my life. Meena has helped me calm myself and rid myself of panic attacks and high anxiety. She is so very wise in her teachings. I also like her no no nonsense approach to life and to my problems in particular. I always feel more in tune with my body and the world around me after our sessions. She brings me a sense of peace and alignment that I can’t seem to get to on my own. I feel stronger mentally and physically after our sessions. My husband swears I’m much calmer and happier when I am working with her. I highly recommend her for all things spiritually and physically out of balance.

I attended the 6A training and have used it already in my psychotherapy practice. I was practical and easy for clients to understand. Many thanks for providing it. It was excellent!

I liked the program; it got me to stop making an issue out of my anxiety; to stop identifying with it. I liked the breakout sessions; even though I did not want to do them, I liked what came from them afterwards.
It got me thinking about my purpose and listening to my own intuition better and investigating these areas more. I liked the set up of the program as well and Charlotte offered a little different angle to the program.

I have been seeing Meena for several years now. I first started with her for health and wellness from an Ayurvedic perspective, which also led me to attend her wonderful yoga classes and learning the magic of meditation. In more recent years, I have been seeing Meena for counseling sessions. She is the kindest and most compassionate person I know.
No matter what obstacles life gives me, she listens with such a caring heart and gives me tools and techniques to navigate life’s ups and downs. She has great wisdom and such a loving way of sharing it. I would highly recommend Meena to anyone who is struggling in life. She has been a special gift in my life.
