Teacher Training/Mentorship

Independent Study/Teacher Training/Mentorship

No Yoga practice or teaching is complete without the understanding of Ayurveda.  Ayurvedic Science provides a much wider lens that not only deepens the practice but truly pulls out the essence of Yoga.

Having taught Yoga before I understood Ayurveda and then teaching Yoga with the broader and deeper understanding of Ayurveda made it clear to me that for any Yoga practitioner/teacher, Ayurveda is the key that fills so many holes and gaps and provides the ultimte Yoga ( Union) experience.
It is for this reason that I am passionate about teaching this program.  But rather than a rigid curriculum and time frame, I have kept this program to be more fluid in terms of the topics and the time.
The program is open to seekers, health practitioners, Yoga teachers and anyone seeking to better their health and life.
Here are the details:
1.   We make a 3 month commitment and meet once a month on Saturdays for 3.5 hours.  The schedule and curriculum is planned ( with a lot of flexibility) for the 3 months.
2.  The tentative next 3 dates are:  Jan. 27th, Feb. 17th, April 7th
3.  All handouts and reading material is provided via email for you to print
4.  All classes will be recorded.
5.  The topics are planned 3 months at a time.
6.  Somewhere in the “what you want to learn” and “what, when and how it needs to be taught and discussed”, we will connect all the dots and make it a very fluid, fun and practical learning experience.
The financial commitment is $450 for the 3 months, to be paid at the beginning of the 3 month period.
It is much more important that you “get” what is being taught and discussed than just learning the book knowledge.
The Vedic Sciences are a living knowledge – a living wisdom to evolve our lives.
To be considered for this program, please email me with your contact number and the Independent Study Application 2017.   We will talk and decide if this is a good fit for you.
I believe that this knowledge is at the cutting edge of anyone seeking a well-balanced and happy life.  Please share with others who may be interested as I hope to grow this program.

Student Reviews

I highly recommend the advanced yoga and Ayurveda training with Meena. I have spent more time self-reflecting over the first three months of the program than I have in probably the last ten years. You see for the last ten years I have been busy with career and family. It has been easy to commit to meeting one Saturday a month, making this program great for even the busiest of people.

As a yoga teacher I have enjoyed this advanced training because we are not focused on yoga postures and poses. I will not learn how to stand on my head in this program, and I am completely okay with that! Instead we are discussing the other seven limbs of yoga and how Ayurveda and yoga beautifully compliment one another. Because of the nature of information in this program, it is open and accessible to more than just yoga teachers. It is valuable for any health practitioner or any person who is called to look deeper into health, healing, and self-awareness. During the short time I have been this program, I am more conscious about viewing myself and the world around me through a lens of compassion.

I truly recommend this advanced training program for all. Meena is a skilled teacher whose explanations are insightful and thought provoking. The program is not rigid. If you have a question or an interest in taking the program in a different direction, Meena will revise and meet you at your interests. It is wonderful to be in the company of a teacher who is completely focused on making the experience personal and meaningful for her students. It has been a pleasure to be a student of Meena  and a student of my own consciousness. Namaste.  Ann Rossman

” I am drawn to Ayurveda for its natural approach to nutrition, relationships and overall well-being.  This program has helped me handle daily tasks in a more relaxed and peaceful manner.”  Linda C
“Meena has way of integrating her vast knowledge of Ayurveda, Kundalini yoga, holistic health involving the subtle body, and safe, effective psychological practices to allow one to gain insight into ones own nature and path. Her sensitivity to the personality and to the infinite nature of her students and clients is evident in the changes they sustain after sessions with her. I would recommend yoga therapy, healing sessions, and her deeper small group workshops to everyone who desires an answer to life’s confrontations. I am deeply grateful to her for her teaching discipline. But above all of this, Meena is led by her heart and third eye. Her compassion for others and her self-love and respect are key components in her abilities. She is a rare find, a treasure in Michigan”.  Andrea Fiondo
