Emotional hunger can be just as powerful as physical hunger and it’s easily mistaken as such until we pay attention. it’s important to figure out ways to differentiate.
One of the insidious things about any negative cycle is that it is self promoting.
Emotional eating leads to more emotional eating.
How can we break the cycle?
I’m a firm believer in the idea that how we do one thing is how we do everything.
The way we eat is inseparable from our core beliefs about ourselves, about the world, and about life in general.
As we bring more fulfilment and more balance into our lives, food does not take centre stage, it simply becomes a necessary and enjoyable way to nourish ourselves.
The goal is to lessen the effects emotions have on our eating habits.
Perhaps we are holding on to old beliefs that no longer serve us.
Our beliefs and habits need periodic review and renewal.
Just as we change our wardrobe or the colour of paint in our homes, so should we assess and upgrade our beliefs every now and then, too.
Certain beliefs need changing to continuously line with our higher purpose and values.
Begin with what you can do today and build on that with one tiny step at a time.
I am here to support you through that.
For a limited time, I’m offering a special rate on my 3-session package to help you work those emotions, and improve your relationship with food.

We had the great pleasure at the Carls Family YMCA of welcoming Meena Puri to speak at our ‘Take Back Thursday’ Healthy Living forum on two occasions. Last spring an enthusiastic group learned how important food is to your mental and physical health and how different foods interact to create common health issues. This fall we learned the importance of drilling down to discover why some of your unhealthy habits can overwhelm you and how to break the cycle. Meena is a passionate and enthusiastic speaker who clearly cares about the health and well being of her community. Kathy Amerman, Carls Family Y Board of Directors
"A while back, Meena taught an Ayurvedic cooking class that I attended. She was patient and kind - and her creations were wonderful. I especially love her tea. She is a masterful yoga instructor as well. It's so wonderful that I came to know Meena - when she happened to substitute as teacher in a yoga class I was taking in Wixom! Nancy Stoddard
"Meena is a well seasoned professional and is passionate about her skills and knowledge, she truly works with each client to make sure they are meeting their goals, as well as making sure they are aware of their potential and helping create wonderful outcomes." Cheryl Thrushman
"Meena is a true holistic practitioner. She considers all factors that impact health." Cindy Fatura
